Read More know no matter what I write here it won't do justice to the person I'm writing this review about. Words aren't enough to explain how this person and this company have helped my family through a hard dark time in our lives. But she/they have earned this review so here goes....Thanksgiving of last year while I was deployed overseas my family suffered a personal tragedy. We lost the head of our family when my father unexpectedly passed away. I flew home to be with my family and help tend to the funeral arrangements. My father had built the house we grew up in out towards Redwater in 1986. My mother and father still lived in this house and after 32 years they had actually decided they wanted to remodel/upgrade it to sell and move closer town a few months before he passed. I was due to redeploy back overseas the end of January and for mine and my family's peace of mind I personally did not want to go back overseas knowing my mother was having to deal with remodel/selling of the home she had lived in for 32 years after having just lost the man she was married to for 44 years. I have personally known Chad Raney for almost 20 years so I know what type of person he is. Humble, caring, and an all around great guy. His character and integrity are impeccable. Well Chad is very fortunate to have a young realtor that works for him by the name of Kristi McKamie. If you aren't from Texarkana or its surrounding areas then what you don't know is that while it may not be the big city, it is filled with many, many GOOD people. The people of Bowie and Miller Counties have big smiles and bigger hearts. We are the close knit type where nine times out of ten if you don't know someone then you know someone they know. And that is how this friendship began... by having mutual friends on Facebook. We had become friends and she would send me info on properties I was looking at around Texarkana. So when I needed help/direction in what steps to take I reached out to Kristi and she told us to come to her office and talk to her. Until the morning that my mother and I walked into her office, Kristi and I had never met. There are certain times in your life when you can feel God working His magic. As I look back now I know that having Him putting Kristi into our lives was His way of helping us with our grief and helping to soften the blow of losing the head of our family. She was the calm in our storm. She was there for us 24/7. She knew that we were on a self imposed schedule because I didn't want to redeploy without my family being settled in a new house. So we made the decision to sell the house as is and crossed our fingers. She had the house sold in two days. Less than a week later we found the perfect house that my mother wanted. We closed on the house my father built on a Friday and then closed on the new house the following Monday. I was able to redeploy with the peace of mind of not having to be 8000 miles away worrying about what was going on back in Texas. Whatever we threw at her....the hundreds of questions, the multiple requests, etc....she always answered with a smile and was always patient with us. She is one of the most caring, big hearted, genuine people I've ever had the pleasure to meet. Even after the transactions were done and there was a mishap with the deeds at the title company she got it cleared up for us. She was a constant ray of sunshine in a very cold dark time for my family. When we started out the process we were friends....but somewhere along the way she became family. The Cole family will be forever grateful for her tireless work and the help she gave us when we were down. If you are in need of a realtor....one who truly cares about her job and the people she represents....one who will be on your side even when everything is said and done...give the Chad Raney Team a chance for your business. You won't be disappointed! Thanks Kristi! :)"
